Runners are pretty hardcore. I mean we feel like we’re dying nearly every time we run. Passing out is normal. Throwing up after a race isn’t something we raise eyebrows at. We find glory in pain. And yet we still do it. Day after day after day.

Running is different from other sports. When we run, we expect pain, in hopes that the next time it will hurt less, so that we may push ourselves even further.
